Antti Nurmesniemi Finel coffee Pot / percolator
This is a large enamel stovetop coffee percolator designed in the late 1950s by Finnish designer Antti Nurmesniemi for Arabia and made by Finnish company Finel.
Created in red and white enamel with a strong chunky plastic handle, the percolator part is created from aluminium and is great for making a large pot of coffee to share. Sadly this wonderful pot is not in such wonderful condition, but then the price reflects this, as a perfect example would cost a lot more.
Here's the low down... inside there's one chip to the enamel, outside one large chip near the base, Spout is a bit chipped, but smooth, the lid, has one large chip to the enamel and one small chip to the edge, the plastic top has melted, but is still solid, just no longer clear.
On the plus side, the enamel is clean and glossy, the handles good, the percolator parts are good, the base is solid and flat, Sometimes perfection is not required, but a good cup of coffee is.
A super find I hope it gets to make some wonderful coffee for someone.
