Wonderful original 1960's teak ice bucket, created from carved teak. Very similar in design to the Ice Buckets by Jens Quistgaard for Dansk (1960). This one, however, may have been made in response to the popularity of modernist teak at the time, just as items are made today, many Danish and modernist designs were copied and produced in more affordable materials. So this ice bucket is very much in the style of Dansk, again produced in teak, in the late 1960's, but not by Dansk. In my opinion, the craftsmanship is lower, the carving is less smooth, but the price remains much lower price too. And these days even copies are collectible.
The condition is very good, there are some light marks and knocks to the wood from use, the ice bucket is lined with a plastic liner, which has become discolored over time. and is not removable. But overall the ice bucket, is in great condition, and is ready to party for many years to come.

Stands 38.5cm tall x 18cm x 17.5 cm at the widest points
