Bjorn Wiinblad Poster Musik skal der til - SPIL SEV 1949 Vintage Danish modernist print
Ask a question
This poster was designed by the wonderful Bjorn Wiinblad. Entitled Musik skal der til - SPIL SELV, this beautiful original 1947 Litho print is produced on matt smooth cartridge like paper.
An absolutely stunning quality print, the colours are simply beautiful and are as fresh as the day it was created, way back in 1949.
This is actually one of Wiinblads first posters and was produced to encourage children to play musical instruments, the texts translates as "If you want music, play it yourself"
I believe that over the years Wiinblad produced at least 4 posters for Musik skal der ti. A couple of which may still be available in my shop.
The poster is in good condition for its age, there is a 1cm tear to the white border in the left-hand corner, there are a few very small and light creases, and the white border to the right is a little mottled from age and storage. These are very minor faults, but I always like to point out any flaws in the posters and objects I sell.
Measuring 51.5cm x 85 cm so this is a large poster
Printed by Permild and Rosengreen
Signed in the print ..Bjorn Wiinblad 49
