Vintage "Meowing and Princess Rose-Marie" by Phiny Dick – A Whimsical Tale for All Ages

Discover the enchanting world of *Meowing and Princess Rose-Marie*, a delightful story by Phiny Dick, the talented wife of the famed cartoonist Dick Bruna. This vintage treasure is a must-have for collectors, cat lovers, and fans of classic children’s literature.

This rare edition takes readers on a magical journey with Meowing, an adorable cat, and the charming Princess Rose-Marie as they embark on an adventure filled with friendship and wonder. Phiny Dick’s storytelling is heartwarming, and her imaginative narrative will captivate both children and adults alike.

The book is in great condition, with its original cover intact, ther are some light marks to the cover and age elated mottling and discolouration to the first couple of pages. A couple of the adorable illustrations have been coloured in with pencil, I say couple I think it’s just one but I’m covering myself 😊. The illustrations are vivid and charming, perfectly complementing the whimsical tale. Whether you're adding to a vintage book collection or seeking a special gift, this timeless story is sure to be cherished.
The book is undated but is beleived to date back to the 1930s, and was first published in Holland, and then this edition was printed in London by Bailey Bros & Swinfen, apparently it was loved by children and seen by many as a very modern tale as its language, even when translated was considered fun and upbeat compared to British authors.

Add a touch of nostalgia and magic to your bookshelf with this beloved classic!
